Here, there.......everywhere

We met with a photographer this past Thursday at The UT Gardens and had a family photo shoot. Our photographer was great and got some great shots. Her website is http://www.jessicaleighphotography.com/. You can check out the pictures from our session here http://langleypartyof5.blogspot.com/. Go there now, because they are only there till Wednesday. We probably could have gotten some better group shots if the kids had been in better moods. Jill and Zack were especially cranky.

Rick and I had our first official night away from the babies at the beginning of April. My sister, Amy, had to call and ask us if it was our first night away together to make us realize it was! We went to Charleston so Rick could run in the Cooper River Bridge Run. We stayed with my brother and his wife Susan at their house on Daniel Island. We had a great time breaking in their new oven/cook top Friday night with a yummy meal and dessert. The kids stayed with my parents (aka Papa John and Gran Marf) and Amy and Steve spent the night there as well as "back up". Amy wound up with a bed bug named Jill Friday night.

Mama with all 8 of her Great Grand kids. From left to right (back row) Emily, Jenny, Drew, Will Jackson. On the couch we have Mama, Jill, Nate and Zack.
Nate turned 4 on April 9th. Meg had a Silly String and bubbles party, which was a big hit with the kids and adults.

Zack getting ready to make bubbles.

Drew getting swallowed by a giant bubble.

Jill trying to figure this bubble blowing thing out.

Meg brought one of Nate's old toys outside for the trio to play on. They loved it. I think we are supposed to inherit it next time we are home.

Jackson giving Zack a tour of the garage.

The kids love cake!

Drew's first girlfriend, Emma, coming in for a kiss.

This is pretty much Jill after any big event when we get back in the car.

A classic sleeping position for Drew.

I practically get a bath too at bath time now. The boys can get really crazy with their splashing.

Another piano recital. This time, the event was held a Gran Marf's.

Remember those receipts that I used to keep in a drawer that they would not leave alone? I had to move them to a box under my bed and guess who found them? Could he be any happier about it?

I met up with 3 other sets of triplets (and 1 singleton) at the Knoxville Zoo a few weeks back. I actually let my kids out of their Choo Choo Wagon and let them wander a bit in an enclosed play area for kids. That was a bit nerve wracking, but it turned out OK. We rode on a carousel too.

The Glad and Langley families participated in our 2nd annual March of Dimes March for Babies Walk on Saturday, April 26.

They had a sign along the course in memory of Ryan and Kara's first child Ryan Brennan Glad.

In case you haven't noticed yet, Kara and Ryan have an addition to their family! Andrew Ryan Glad was born on April 9th. He was 6lbs 6oz and 19".

After the walk, Rick and the kids and I went to the Farmer's Market. Rick bought several tomato and bell pepper plants there.

We had the Glad's over that night for burgers and Kara had her first "adult beverage" in about a year.

The kids breaking in their early birthday gift.

I went outside and found Jill with her monkey, puppy and elephant having a picnic.

The boys being silly in the car. They hold their hands out to each other and then jerk it away and laugh hysterically about it. In this video, they are throwing their sippy cups in the air for entertainment.

Drew is still making steady progress in his walking efforts. We practice every night before bed, and sometimes he gets up on his own and practices. He has taken about 12 steps at a time.
