The month of January was full of sickness and my 37th B-day...man-Rick and I are getting OLD!
We had friends over New Years Day and Rick cooked them the traditional southern NYD meal complete with collards, black eyed peas and pork. I was in charge of decorating.

Drew was so sick. I've never seen him be so still and quiet. Look how pale he is! I was really worried about him, but when we took him to the pediatrician, he
only had a double ear infection, but his lungs sounded clear. Whew!

The sickies going to their dad for comfort. I actually started the whole sickness thing and had an annoying cough forever!
Gran Marf passing out gummy bears. I bought some in the store the other day and Zack yelled out "Gran Marf, I got you some gummy bears!" She was in SC, we were in TN.....I'm sure she got the message.
Gran Marf and Papa John came up to help me celebrate my birthday. We went to the RT Lodge (RT stand for Ruby Tuesday) for dinner. It was a great dinner and the atmosphere was wonderful. A great place to go on special occasions.
I had a picture of the four of us after dinner, but some how I managed to save over it with another picture. Some little glitch I need to work out with my new camera. I'm so upset I don't have the picture anymore :(

We have lots of "help" in the kitchen now when we, I mean Rick, cooks.

One of the many ways dad "entertains"

We had to drive an hour and a half away to find decent snow to sled and make a snowman. This was the first real snow of the season, we just did not get much in Knoxville. We are on the side of an entrance ramp to the interstate. I'm sure we were quite the site!

The 2nd or 3rd time it snowed, we got a decent amount.....it just melted quickly.

First time at a "Pump It Up" party for a preschool friend.

This is pretty much their preschool class. A bunch of boys and only 3 girls including Jill.

Zack was the dare devil on the slides. Normally Jill is Miss Adventure and has no fear.

Daddy with Jill, Drew and a tag a long.
DJZ also moved into their own rooms in January. They had no problems splitting up and are sleeping just great in their own space. Everyone has a big kid bed too!

Rick had to move his workout room to the 3rd floor so Zack could have a room. The walls were already blue.

Jill has their old nursery. It has been "girly-fied".
Drew has the ORANGE room. Not sure why I wanted such an obnoxiuos color, but I like it for the most part! No need to turn on the lights, it's bright enough without them.
