A very busy April

WE HAVE GRASS! Yea! Rick and I are so happy to finally see green out of our windows instead of dirt!The pergola still needs more work, but it's all coming together. The vote is still out if Rick will now be able to actually rest and enjoy all his hard work.

The yard project is finally nearing an end. We are working with a landscaper to get some ideas on how to landscape this hill.

We dyed eggs for the first time. The kids loved it, but it was rather stressful on us since they had to dye the eggs themselves!

Rick won a Chauncey Award at work which meant he and I got to travel to San Francisco for the awards dinner. We left on a Tuesday and spent a few days sightseeing before the dinner that Friday night.

Our first day in San Fran, Rick and I took a ferry from Fisherman's Wharf over to Sausalito. After having lunch, we decided to hike to the Golden Gate Bridge.

We hiked and hiked and hiked and HIKED!

All the while, Rick kept telling me it's just around this next corner.

Oh thank God! There it is!

Why did I ever doubt him! It was well worth the neverending hike. Once we made it to the bridge, we only had so much time to make the hike back to Sausalito to catch our ferry. We decided to skip the ferry and walk across the bridge and ALL the way back to Fisherman's Wharf. It was quite the adventure, especially since I was not wearing the proper shoes. You should of seen the blister on the bottom of my foot. Ouch!

The next day we took it easy and just did some sightseeing. We visited the aquarium at Fisherman's Wharf, took a trolley down to Union Square, and finally had a mammoth sundae at Ghiradhelli Square. Yum!

While we were off galavanting in San Fran, Rick's mom and Eugene came up and watched the kids. The kids really enjoyed hanging with Nana and Eugene. They were lots of fun and way more entertaining than mom and dad.

THANK YOU Nana and Eugene! Rick and I really appreciate you taking time off to keep the kids for us. I know the kids had a great time.

We started swimming lessons and the kids love it. No fear of the water. During the first lesson , Jill and Drew went right to the water and got busy. Zack had to warm up to the idea, but after 15 minutes he was right there with them enjoying every minute and jumping from the side.
